Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

HANDHELD RFID/BARCODE SCANNER APPLICATION — Syntek developed software to RFID-enable a handheld Pocket PC barcode scanner under Win CE.Net. The handheld included an integrated RFID reader/antenna. Syntek developed the software to read RFID tags, write tags, display the tags read and transfer scanned barcode data to an RFID tag. Syntek developed GUIs for all the screens, the low-level driver (DLL) and a Users Guide.

RFID BENCHMARK APPLICATION — Syntek developed a performance measurement application that was used to benchmark RFID tag data acquisition characteristics. The application included a GUI and DLL for data acquisition, data reduction, statistics, and network communications. Syntek also developed a benchmark application that measures tag yield in a tag production environment.

RFID TAG ORDERING SYSTEM — Syntek designed and developed a desktop RFID Tag ordering application. The application presents a GUI that assists the user in defining the complex properties of the tags to be produced, along with the quantity of tags. The GUI provides an intuitive, easy-to-use method to define tag properties. The application validates compliance with EPCglobal Tag Data Standards and includes a utility to convert product barcode data to EPCglobal RFID tag data.

RFID TAG TESTING — Syntek enhanced an existing client application to be able to use it for pass/fail testing of new RFID read/write tags for production line characterization. The program tested both the tag ID and tag (user) data fields on RFID read-write tags.

EPC TAG DATA SPECIFICATION — Syntek engineers are experienced with the EPC Tag Data Specification standard produced by EPCglobal. Our software engineers re-engineered and enhanced an application that generated unique EPCglobal conforming tag IDs and maintained a database of tag IDs. Syntek also developed a Systems Overview document and a Users Guide.
